The ‘Songs for Australia’ Charity Covers the Album Released by Julia Stone with the National, Kurt Vile and More

The international singer of Australian origin, Julia Stone has released a new album named ‘Songs for Australia’ for charity in association with the other music bands like the National, Kurt Vile, and many more. This charity album has been dedicated to the bushfire relief that features significant contributions from Kurt Vile, the National, Paul Kelly, and more others. The stream of melody has been sung with melancholy tunes, thus mesmerizing the soul of the music lovers all over the world.

Hit Performance of ‘Songs for Australia’
 According to the latest news, the ‘Songs for Australia’ is featured with a mix of Australian and international artists, thus covering all the well-known Aussie songs. However, the National music band has contributed a cover of INXS’ song ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ while the music hit Damien Rice contributed a performance of ‘Sia’s Chandelier,’ both of these songs were shared before the release of the album. In the charity album, the other international contributions include ‘Stranger than Kindness’ by Kurt Vile, which was originally sung and composed by Nick Cave. Joan as Police Woman’s ‘Heart’s a Mess’ (Gotye) and Martha Wainwright’s ‘Ship Song,’ which was also originally sung and composed by Nick Cave.


The other vital contributions in the album are by the Australians Paul Kelly that takes on the ‘Native Born’ sung by Archie Roach. Dope Lemon that is bad fronted by Julia’s brother Angus Stone performs the ‘Streets of Your Town’ from the album The Go-Betweens. However, Julia Stone herself offers the performance of ‘Beds are Burning’ from Midnight Oil. According to the reports, the album was announced last month, and it is currently only available in the digital media. However, it is in the news that a vinyl and CD release will arrive sometime in June.

The Response of Stone on the Astounding Performance 
The performance at the ‘Songs for Australia’ started with the Stone’s Midnight Oil cover. Whereas Stone was recorded in London when her mother was told to evacuate her home in the New South Wales at the time of the height of the 2019/20 season of the tremendous bushfire, thus prompting Stone to cover up the classic Australian tune. Therefore after that successful recording session that occurred unexpectedly, she began contacting the international as well as local touring friends, and thus along with this, the full record initiated to come together.
